Child Struck By Car In Fairfield County

Police are investigating after a small child was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Fairfield County.

A child was hit by a car at the intersection of Park Avenue and Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport.

The incident took place around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday at Park Avenue and Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport, said Av Harris, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.

The child was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment but Harris did not provide information regarding the severity of their injuries or their condition.
